    Of the twins, Hikaru is a little older and a bit more in control of their yaoi-like acts. Before their "customers" with the host club, Hikaru tends to heal the little things from Kaoru, his twin brother, by giving off the famous brotherly love look to make the girls awe. In most of these situations, even not in public, Hikaru is, as Haruhi says, "one level rougher" than Kaoru. He is pretty possessive of both his brother and Haruhi. Although together, these twins are the Little Devil Type and love to be mischeivious together! It’s hard to tell them apart.

    Hikaru is generally a very nice person, but doesn’t easily accept others into his and his brother’s lives. The first that they have naturally accepted into their lives is Haruhi, with whom they can trust. Hikaru has definitely begun liking Haruhi as more than a friend.

    Hikaru tends to be a bit rash at times, and is very selfish, considering he’s barely ever been forced to share because of his (and his brother’s) lack of friends throughout all of elementary and middle school. This is why he can also become very jealous with no notice.

    Kaoru and Hikaru can both be very mischievous at times, playing out elaborate plans to trick people into getting what they want. They will go to almost any lengths to achieve this goal.

    Hikaru is my favorite character from this series. Not only I love the twins’ appearance but I especially love the personality of Hikaru Hitachiin the most. A mischievous and immature side of him just struck me the most then discover his mistakes and later show his mature and understanding side. He looks so cute whenever he gets jealous with Haruhi, not knowing that his affection for her was merely more than just a friend.

    My favorite episode was episode 16 where it was Haruhi and Hikaru’s first date. Kaoru did a great job with the plan to let those two get together. I giggled all throughout the episode especially the time when Hikaru was looking for Haruhi and found her in a chapel underneath the table and she trembled with fear then Hikaru pulls off the table cloth and cover it to her, leaving him hugging Haruhi in the end and Haruhi placed her head on Hikaru’s shoulder. That was the perfect and sweetest part for Hikaru and Haruhi scenes of all the episodes that I have watched. I’m a fan of Hikaru Hitachiin and I’ll always love him.
